About the authors

Dr. Beckman received her Ph.D. in pharmacology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and is currently a professor in the Department of Pharmacology at Tulane University School of Medicine. She has published over 100 research papers in endocrine and cancer pharmacology and has taught undergraduates, graduate and medical students for over 25 years.
